Uhm, for the Pythagorean Theorum how can you use it to find out another length when you already know the slant length? so like 5= 3+ x how do you find x?

You basically invert the formula. if a^2+b^2=c^2, then c^2-b^2=a^2. So you square the hypotnuse (slant), subtract the squared leg-length, and take the square root of that result.
Sunny Nice Job!
